Getting Ready To Go Live




We provide a test plan that we highly recommend you use and follow while you proceed with the integration of your staging/demo XML connection and while you perform the testing. This should simplify your work and that of your development team and at the same time ensure that nothing important and fundamental is missed or forgotten, such as booking rooms with extra beds for children and/or cots for infants, booking properties with very restrictive amendments and cancellation policies, booking hotels with essential information or with special offers.

You can find this test plan on this site. You are not obliged to use the test plan, but if you do, you will be sure that you have tried and tested the most common scenarios and that you will be well prepared for most situations and able to cope with any error response we may return.

When you are ready to move to the production environment and confident that you can handle all XML messages and have successfully made bookings, you will need to contact us by email to request the production credentials.

We will ask you to complete a questionnaire and to send us additional information as requested in the questionnaire, and a full final integration plan. When this documentation is received by us, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted if any points need to be clarified or amended.

We will perform a certification analysis on your staging website and, in order to do this, we will ask you to provide the passwords to access the site so that we can make an analysis of your integration. During this analysis we will access your website and check, amongst other things, the following:

  •        Destination mapping
  •        Room type mapping
  •        Display of essential information
  •        Display of GTA’s special offers
  •        Retrieval of charge conditions

If we are satisfied with the results of the certification analysis we will supply the production parameters. If the analysis shows that there are areas that require improvements, we will contact you with our recommendations and will work with you on the changes and improvements before supplying the production parameters.

At the same time we receive the request for access to our production systems, we will also contact the GTA sales team who will contact you in turn to sign an ‘XML Booking Services Order Form’. Once we have received all the necessary documentation from you as well as our sales team, we will be able to proceed with the set up of your ID on our production environment which normally takes up to 48 hours. Production account creations are processed in the order they are received and during busy periods they may take longer to complete.

We suggest that you contact us at least 2-3 weeks before you are planning to go live to allow enough time for the procedure described above to be followed through.
